One of a kind study on the recovery of oils and paints

In 2010, NI Environnement and DESSAU were hired by RECYC-QUÉBEC in order to determine the rate of recoverable oil and paint in Québec.

These two large scale studies are the first of their kind. The consultants have met the challenge of conceiving a methodology, specially designed for Québec, leading to accurate results, while meeting deadlines and limited budget

At first, efforts were pointed towards the development of sampling methodologies, based on the differentiation of several parameters (type of paint, size of container, type of oil, etc…). Then a clever calculation process was created to help determine the recovery percentage applicable to each of the two products.
